Introduction of No Kids Zone

No Kids Zone is a term that first appeared in 2014 which means children under a certain age are prohibited from entering restaurants and cafes. However, banning children in public places causes controversies.

Many parents, especially mothers, who oppose the no-kids zone, said that all children in public places such as restaurants and cafes are not always out of control and cause problems and that even if a problem occurs, it can be controlled. However, according to the recent survey by Embrain, 60.9 percent of 1,000 people aged between 19 and 59 have felt uncomfortable because of the behavior of children at restaurants and other "public" places at least once. As the survey shows, the no-kids zone favors those who do not want to experience this kind of discomfort.

The No Kids Zone creates a quiet atmosphere and acts as a device for those who want to have their own time without being harmed by others. Therefore, even though, there was strong opposition to the no-kids zone initially, it is very common now, and customers deliberately visit cafes and restaurants with the no-kids zone.

Various cafes are emerging to satisfy both the pros and cons of No Kids Zone at the same time. Most of these cases occur in large cafes. In large cafes, a zone was defined which is a zone that everyone could enter and a no-kids zone were established so that both parents with young children and customers who want a quiet atmosphere can enjoy the cafe.
