First Blog Post: Me and Blog

 

Hello, this is Olivia Sooyeon Im, the owner of this blog. I am an undergraduate student who is majoring in Communication and minoring in Psychology since February 2020. I am interested in Public Relations, Film/Broadcast, and Marketing in Strategic Communication and I hope to have a job related to the field in the States. 

I was born in Suwon, South Korea, and had lived and studied not only in Korea but also in Australia (6 months), the Philippines (1 year), and California, USA (2 years). Having lived in many different countries, the hobby of traveling naturally developed. This hobby led to cafe-tour where you could change your mood and eat delicious desserts and drinks at the same time.

In Korea, visiting popular cafes become a culture/trend. Interestingly, almost every area in Korea has famous and pretty cafes. The reason cafes are more developed than in other countries is because of the characteristics of Koreans. Koreans are very interested in and passionate about taking beautiful photos such as portraits, food photos, and background photos. Furthermore, taking photos, sharing your daily life on social media, and decorating it is considered self-management. In this context, informing more people about pretty cafes in various regions will be a very interesting topic that fits the trend. Therefore, this blog is going to introduce pretty cafes I've been to, good cafes where you can enjoy everyday life without worrying even in the Corona crisis.
